Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world every day because they share a core belief – to serve their community. The Buckhorn District Lions Club organizes many local events supporting many causes within the Buckhorn community and is a leader in facilitating the start-up of this local youth soccer program. As the Buckhorn Soccer Development Programs primary sponsor, through their dedicated commitment and generous support our local soccer program was born. Our inaugural kickoff was celebrated in June of 2024.
The Buckhorn Soccer Development program is grateful for the support from local businesses who gave their time, funds and products to help benefit our local kids and their families. It is through generous sponsorship of Lynn Woodcroft of Royal Lepage, Shreek Patel of Foodland and Endrit Karaj of Pizza Alloro, that helps us to provide soccer programs and services for our youth within the Buckhorn community and surrounding areas. On behalf of the program, our kids and their families, we thank you for your kind and generous support.
With a very special shout out to Shreek Patel of Foodland, we would like to thank him and his team for their generous financial support. With Foodland’s financial support we are now able to provide subsidies to those qualified families that may be challenged to provide additional activities for their children. The Buckhorn Soccer program aims to be able to provide quality athletic activities for all our kids interested in learning to play the beautiful game without the limitations of financial restrictions whenever possible. It is through the thoughtful and generous donation from Shreek and his team at Foodland that has made this a reality for the 2025 season.
